PostSecret - blog from all of us

Preparing for a lecture on the new media and its relation to the literature, I went looking for books based on blogs. Here is one particularly interesting example:

PostSecret is a blog where people share their secrets: pain, love, memories, hopes, crimes... Check this blog! It is a true poetry of the streets: romantic, cunning, rude, beautiful, stinky and fragrant at the same time, pulsing like one gigantic heart taken out of the chest cavity.

Tuesday, in class, we will talkabout the book based on this blog.

The first assignment.

Dear students,

Your first blog assignment is to create a blog and publish "the story of my life" episode in it. I hope this will not cause you much trouble.
Your on-going blog assignment is not only about collecting artifacts for your final project, but also about fun, silliness, and creativity; treat it as such, but make your posts IN TIME!
I promise to keep up with you and do the same amount of work on my blog as you do on yours.

Instructions for creating your new blog:

1.       Access www.blogger.com

2.       Click orange button  “Get started”

3.       Fill in your information in “Create Google account” form

4.       Create a title and an address (URL) for your blog

5.       Chose a template for your blog – a background and design

6.       After you chose background and design, click “Apply to blog” in the upper right corner.
